Cosmetic Bioglitter® replaces the polyester film used in traditional cosmetic glitter with a very special form of cellulose extracted from hardwoods, primarily eucalyptus sourced from responsibly managed and certified plantations operating to PEFC™ www.pefc.org standards. Completely unique, Bioglitter®, is the only glitter available on the market which is now PROVEN to biodegrade into harmless substances in the natural environment. There are two key ecological goals we are driving to achieve with all Bioglitter® products;
1. Plastic free, so it’s no longer a microplastic.
2. Biodegradable in the natural environment, so it leaves minimal or no trace.
So far with we have already removed 92% of the plastic and 90% of Bioglitter®’s content is biodegradable in natural environments.
HEALTH BENEFITS –
LOW HEAVY METALS MEANS HEALTHIER GLITTER
Cosmetic Bioglitter® contains low levels of heavy metals and ZERO ANTIMONY, unlike Cosmetic Polyester glitter which can have antimony levels as high as 150ppm. The antimony in Cosmetic Polyester Glitter is a by-product of a catalyst used in the manufacture of polyester and can negatively and adversely affect health.

SILKIER AND MORE COMFORTABLE ON THE SKIN
Cosmetic Bioglitter® feels much more comfortable on the skin and less irritable when worn in the hair compared with polyester glitter. Similar to comparing comfort different experienced between natural and man-made fabrics, Bioglitter® being made from naturally derived materials is physically softer than polyester glitter and provides an improved, more comfortable experience for consumer. In recent blind testing, over 80% of people preferred the silky feel of Bioglitter®. In addition Bioglitter® is precision cut to ensure a smooth clean edge, even further enhancing the user experience.
